Welcome to my virtual recipe box, where I collect – and get to share – recipes from my Fave Foodies. They are my go-to food bloggers, whose recipes not only pack a nutritional punch, but also show that healthy food can (should) taste great too. Because eating, like life, should be enjoyed (IMHO).
I eat by that lovely 80/20 rule: 80% clean eating, 20% not-so-clean eating, which is more about healthy choices than strict diets. Likewise, I collect simple recipes that include at least 80% wholesome ingredients – whole grains, veggies, fruit, lean meat, fat-free and other good-for-you stuff. Each recipe incorporates at least one nutritional or curative benefit: fewer calories, higher fiber, gluten free, dairy- free, paleo, Whole 30 and more.
You will also find a mix of blog posts on a range of issues, like the curative properties and/or nutritional benefits of the ingredients used in the recipes
